According to Deep Tide TechFlow, Vitalik Buterin recently announced his personal work focus for 2025, which will concentrate on Ethereum's long-term roadmap, including single-slot finality, long-term virtual machines, statelessness, and security/resilience/decentralization.
He is also focusing on the field of decentralized acceleration, including communication tools, social information layers, and governance mechanism design. Experts are already leading the short-term expansion area, with plans to increase the L1 gas limit by 10 times before 2026.
The dual goal of the Ethereum Foundation is to increase the number of users who truly benefit from Ethereum's underlying characteristics and to comprehensively enhance Ethereum's resilience and decentralization.
