According to PANews, Arthur Hayes recently tweeted that the latest generation of U.S. stock investors has become too accustomed to a structurally upward bull market. He suggests that this is more of an exception than a global norm, citing numerous examples where stock markets have experienced a decade of sideways or range-bound movements despite strong underlying economic growth.

Hayes anticipates that the market will create an ideal environment for traders who can quickly adapt and thrive. However, he warns that the outlook will be extremely pessimistic for many private-oriented strategies. If U.S. President Donald Trump continues with his policy choices, Hayes predicts that expected returns for private equity and venture capital will significantly decline.
