According to Odaily, Rostislav Panev, a developer for the Lockbit ransomware, has been extradited to the United States and is currently in custody awaiting trial. The U.S. Department of Justice accuses Panev of working as a programmer for the ransomware since 2022 and receiving approximately $230,000 in cryptocurrency transactions. With servers being seized and associates pleading guilty, Lockbit may face further setbacks. However, key figures like Dmitry Khoroshev remain at large.

Previously, Russian national Ruslan Magomedovich Astamirov and dual Canadian-Russian citizen Mikhail Vasiliev were identified as members of the Lockbit organization. They were arrested in 2023 and 2022, respectively, and could face maximum sentences of 25 and 45 years in prison.
