According to PANews, SoftBank Group has announced a partnership with OpenAI to develop and market an advanced enterprise artificial intelligence named 'Cristal Intelligence.' SoftBank plans to invest $3 billion annually to implement OpenAI's solutions across its group companies. Additionally, SoftBank and OpenAI have established a new joint venture called 'SB OpenAI Japan,' which will focus on promoting OpenAI's enterprise technology to large corporations in Japan, with each party holding a 50% stake.

SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son expressed his belief that artificial general intelligence (AGI) will become a reality in less than a decade. He emphasized that AGI could initially be realized in large enterprise operations, noting that achieving this goal requires substantial funding, which is currently available only to large corporations.
