According to Odaily, Akira Otani from Goldman Sachs stated in a research report that the Bank of Japan is expected to continue its policy of raising interest rates twice annually. This prediction follows the central bank's recent rate hike decision and remarks by Governor Kazuo Ueda. Otani anticipates the next rate increase to occur in July. He noted that while core inflation is rising moderately, achieving the sustainable 2% inflation target remains a challenge. However, Otani cautioned that there is significant uncertainty regarding the timing of the next rate hike.
