How a Fake Curve App Slipped Through Apple's Security 👀

A #fake Curve Finance app, “Curve defi v3,” has appeared on Apple’s App Store, gaining popularity despite being flagged as a scam by the community.

The app, created by “Tao Duong Van,” mimics #Curve Finance’s logo and claims to offer token swaps and DeFi services. Despite poor reviews indicating it is a scam, the app has reached the top 100 finance charts globally, putting users in multiple regions at risk. A fintech engineer first #warned users on X, advising them to report the app. Curve Finance has dealt with similar impersonations on the App Store in the past.
