$BTC Trading Despite CEO's Warning
JPMorgan Chase will allow clients to buy
$BTC through its asset management services.
CEO Jamie Dimon clarified, "I'm not a fan" of Bitcoin while announcing the decision on Investor Day.
The world's largest bank, with $4 trillion in assets, will not directly custody the cryptocurrency.
This marks a significant shift from Dimon's characterization of Bitcoin as a "fraud" in 2017.
Previously, Dimon told Congress that Bitcoin has "one true use case" for criminals and money launderers.
JPMorgan recently completed its first public transaction on blockchain involving tokenized U.S. Treasury securities.
Dimon stated that the technology
#blockchain "doesn't matter as much as you think" for the broader economy.
The CEO warned of high geopolitical risks and described the
#taxas current tariffs as "quite extreme" despite recent reductions.
