One of the most talked-about concepts in the cryptocurrency world lately is “Inscription.”
In short, blockchain inscriptions are information or data recorded on the blockchain with specific meaning and value. These inscriptions may contain simple text or complex codes, contracts, etc. Once the inscriptions on the blockchain are recorded, they will be permanently saved and cannot be changed, thus becoming a unique and tamper-proof digital asset.
Take Bitcoin's Ordinals protocol as an example. The smallest unit of Bitcoin is Satoshi, and 1 Bitcoin is equal to 100 million Satoshi. The Ordinals protocol allows information to be engraved on a specific Satoshi. This information can be text, pictures, videos or audio, etc.
