Chinese AI Company Webus Builds $300 Million XRP Reserve Fund

Webus International and the Huge XRP Fund: Webus International Limited (NASDAQ: WETO), a Chinese AI company specializing in high-end transportation services, has just announced plans to raise $300 million through non-equity funding to build an XRP reserve fund (May 29, 2025). The main goal: Enhance fast, low-cost cross-border payments for international shipping services. Develop blockchain infrastructure, including e-wallets, Web3 tokens, and an on-chain ticketing system. Support global expansion, in partnership with Tongcheng Travel Holdings Ltd., a major Chinese travel platform with 240 million annual paying users.
According to CEO Nan Zheng, the integration of XRP will "revolutionize" international payments, enabling instant payments to drivers and quick refunds for customers. Note: This plan is still in the exploratory phase, not finalized, and depends on final agreements. XRP price rose slightly by 1% in 24 hours, reaching $2.09 (May 31, 2025).
