Binance Adds Monitoring Tags to Six Tokens Amid Rising Volatility
Effective May 7, 2025, Binance will apply its Monitoring Tag to six additional tokens as part of its ongoing effort to highlight assets exhibiting increased volatility or risk.
Tokens Affected:
• Stella (ALPHA)
• Hifi Finance (HIFI)
• LeverFi (LEVER)
• Movement (MOVE)
• Portal (PORTAL)
• REI Network (REI)
These tokens will now be subject to heightened scrutiny and periodic reviews. If they fail to meet Binance’s listing standards, they may face delisting.
What Is the Monitoring Tag?
The Monitoring Tag flags tokens that exhibit risk factors such as:
• High or persistent price volatility
• Low liquidity or trading volume
• Lack of transparency or regulatory clarity
• Weak development progress or declining community engagement
To trade these tokens, users must complete a risk awareness quiz every 90 days. Binance will also display banner warnings across trading and market pages for increased visibility.
Binance’s Review Criteria Include:
• Project team commitment
• Quality and consistency of development activity
• Trading volume and liquidity
• Responsiveness to Binance’s due diligence process
• Public perception and network performance
The Monitoring Tag system is part of Binance’s broader initiative to maintain listing quality and enhance investor risk awareness in a rapidly evolving crypto market.
