What's the Difference Between a Coin and a Token?

A coin is a crypto that has its own blockchain. Examples: $BTC (Bitcoin),$ETH (Ethereum), $BNB (BNB Chain).

A token is built on another coin’s blockchain. Examples: $USDT (Tether) is a token on Ethereum or BNB Chain.

Simple Rule: If it runs its own chain = Coin If it lives on another chain = Token
