Early Bitcoin entrepreneur Charlie Shrem (@Charlie Shrem ) has announced his latest project, which aims to reignite interest in the cryptocurrency by reviving the Bitcoin "faucet"!

Shrem introduced his new website 21million.com, which plans to distribute Bitcoin to users who complete a CAPTCHA task, a concept that can actually be traced back to the first Bitcoin "faucet" created by Gavin Andresen in 2010.

Currently, the website shows a screenshot of a CAPTCHA task and a field for users to enter a Bitcoin address.

However, the website has not yet been officially enabled and no Bitcoin is available for distribution. But #Shrem assures potential users that “there are no traps,” adding “I want Bitcoin to succeed, so I created this little service to give you some coins to get started!”

Shrem calls his development process “atmosphere coding,” says he’s using artificial intelligence to assist with the project, and emphasizes the fun he’s having with the work.
