Shardeum has announced the tokenomics of $SHM, with a total supply of 508 million tokens. However, due to transaction fees being burned, the maximum supply will not be reached.
At genesis, 49% (approximately 249 million tokens) is allocated to the foundation, ecosystem, airdrops, team, and sales accounts; the remaining 51% will be used for node rewards.
- Available at mainnet launch:
- Foundation account: 11% (55.88 million tokens)
- Ecosystem and airdrops: 5% (25.4 million tokens)
- Released daily 90 days after mainnet launch:
- Team: 15% (76.2 million tokens, approximately 104,383 tokens per day)
- Sales: 18% (91.44 million tokens, approximately 125,260 tokens per day)
The remaining node rewards will begin to be created at mainnet launch to support stable network operation. This token allocation also includes the possibility of a public sale, which is exciting!

Eligible users must register between March 14 and 21, 2025, to receive their SHM tokens during the Token Generation Event (TGE). A second registration window will be open until April 13, with distributions scheduled for June 2025.
The airdrop, totaling over 5.5 million #SHM , is allocated based on participation in on-chain activities, node validation, and community contributions.
