🪙 QuadrigaCX Mystery: $190M Lost with the CEO’s Death

In early 2019, Canadian crypto exchange QuadrigaCX collapsed after its CEO, Gerald Cotten, reportedly died in India — taking with him the only access to wallets holding over $190 million worth of user funds.

🧳 Cotten allegedly passed away suddenly due to Crohn’s disease, but no one else knew the private keys to the cold wallets. Investigators later found that many of the wallets were empty long before his death.
