A crypto investor in Manhattan is accused of kidnapping and torturing an Italian man for weeks in a luxury townhouse worth $30,000/month, just to force him to give up his Bitcoin wallet password.
The victim had their passport and electronic devices confiscated and was continuously tortured when refusing to disclose wallet information.
The suspect has been arrested and brought to court on Saturday.
