Turkish Citizen Files Official Complaint Against Donald and Melania
$TRUMP Over Cryptocurrency Allegations
A Turkish citizen has formally lodged a complaint with CİMER, Turkey's governmental communication center, accusing Donald and Melania Trump of misleading investors through their involvement in the creation of two cryptocurrencies, namely
$TRUMP and MELANIA. The complaint asserts that the Trumps have defrauded the public by promoting these memecoins, which saw their value plummet significantly, with
$TRUMP coin dropping from $75 to just $16.
The complainant highlighted that the timing of the coin launches, coinciding with Trump's inauguration, sparked considerable investor hype. The TRUMP coin was marketed as a promising investment, but its sharp decline in value has raised concerns about the legitimacy of the project. This has left many feeling misled and frustrated.
The complaint also referenced Melania Trump’s immigration history, noting that she became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2006 after entering the U.S. on a visitor visa in 1996, followed by an H-1B visa. This has attracted additional attention as part of the broader context surrounding her and Donald Trump’s financial activities.
