Web3 game publisher Uprising Labs has launched Gamers L.A.B., an infrastructure platform built on Somnia, the high-performance Layer 1 blockchain designed for real-time applications. This integration brings gameplay metadata fully on-chain, opening up new possibilities for developers and delivering richer experiences for players.
Gamers L.A.B. introduces a robust toolset that allows games to capture and interact with live gameplay data directly on-chain. At its core is Battle Records, a new open standard for storing game metadata that can be adopted across multiple games and platforms.
By leveraging Somnia’s architecture, which supports over 1 million transactions per second, sub-second finality, and sub-cent transaction costs, Gamers L.A.B. has the throughput and responsiveness to log every key in-game event. This enables a new class of composable, data-driven gameplay experiences that persist across titles.
Battle Records lets developers track and store gameplay data, such as kills, assists, match results, and strategic decisions, all directly on-chain. This information is made easily accessible through a REST API, streamlining integration without requiring deep blockchain knowledge. 
But the impact goes far beyond integration ease. On-chain game logic and data enable entirely new mechanics, such as real-time prediction markets where fans can bet on outcomes as they happen, bringing new energy to streamers, esports, and community-driven play. These are just early examples of what’s now possible with on-chain data as a building block.
Gamers L.A.B. is among the first infrastructure layers to fully harness this potential, laying the groundwork for a new wave of game design.
