The FED kept interest rates unchanged and signaled that it may cut them 2 times from now until the end of 2025, but reduced the number of expected rate cuts in 2026 and 2027 to a total of only 4 cuts, equivalent to 1%.
The 'dot plot' chart shows a significant divide among officials, with interest rate expectations in 2027 hovering around 3.4%.
Notably, 7 out of 19 members do not expect any cuts in 2024, an increase from 4 members in March.
