Shiba Inu was created in August 2020 by an anonymous author under the pseudonym Ryoshi. The creator of the project wanted to create an alternative to Dogecoin, but in a more decentralized form. Unlike Dogecoin, Shiba Inu does not have a dedicated team of developers or a single leader. Instead, Ryoshi decided that the community would fully control the development of the project. This approach attracted many people from around the world who wanted to participate in creating something new in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. One of Ryoshi's most controversial moves was sending 50% of the total SHIB supply to the wallet of Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum. This was a marketing move aimed at increasing trust in the project. Later, Buterin donated most of these tokens to charity, which caused a wide resonance in the cryptocurrency market and contributed to the further growth of Shiba Inu's popularity.
