What is KernelDAO (KERNEL)?
KernelDAO is a blockchain ecosystem built to enhance security and capital efficiency in Proof-of-Stake (PoS) networks. It enables users to restake assets, contributing to security while earning rewards. The project spans multiple blockchain networks, with its core protocol, Kernel, running on BNB Chain to support shared security and restaking. KernelDAO also offers liquid restaking through Kelp LRT (rsETH) on Ethereum and automated yield strategies via Gain. The ecosystem connects with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and real-world asset (RWA) applications.
KernelDAO connects token holders, validators, and Actively Validated Services (AVSs) to create a unified ecosystem for restaking and enhanced rewards. Users can deposit their Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) into Kernel to earn extra yield. Validators benefit by accessing more services and earning additional rewards, while AVSs gain access to a reliable pool of validators to secure their protocols. The system operates through three key products: Kernel, the core restaking hub; Kelp, which matches validators with services; and Gain, a tool that helps users track and optimize their rewards.
The native token, $KERNEL, serves as the governance and utility token within the KernelDAO ecosystem. It plays a role in staking, governance decisions, and security provisioning. The total supply is capped at 1 billion tokens, with a significant portion allocated to the community. Holders can participate in governance, stake tokens for security, and earn rewards through various platform activities.
The current circulating supply is 162.31M KERNEL at the time of writing. $KERNEL is listed on Binance for trade and purchase. The live price of $KERNEL is updated in real-time on Binance.
