According to CoinDesk: Services on the cryptocurrency exchange, HTX, including that of its decentralized autonomous organization (HTX DAO), were successfully restored following a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack that occurred on Friday.
The attack was reported by Justin Sun, crypto magnate and HTX advisor, who announced that all services were backed up after a roughly 15-minute outage on his social media account, X.
A DDoS attack is a cyberattack strategy designed to put an online service out of action. The attacker achieves this by flooding the targeted service with an overwhelming number of requests, which saturates its capacity, rendering it unable to respond to legitimate requests.
