Cryptocurrency quantification firm Kronos Research suffered a substantial loss of over 13,000 Ethereum (ETH), translating to approximately $25 million, in a recent hacking incident, as revealed by MetaTrust Alert monitoring on November 19th.
Kronos Research had previously released a statement on social media early in the morning at 9:00 am on November 19th, citing unauthorized access to some of their API keys a fours hours prior. They took immediate action by suspending all transactions to further investigate the situation.
While the potential loss seems significant, Kronos Research assures that it's not a noteworthy portion of their total assets. The firm has announced that they're working towards resuming the trading operations as soon as feasible, all while ensuring the security of their platform and assets.
