Frequently Asked Questions on Binance Standard Referral Mode

1. What is the Binance Referral Pro Mode?

For every new user successfully referred to Binance via the Referral Pro Mode, the referrer will receive a commission from the trading fees paid by the referred user on Spot, Margin and Futures trading.

Binance offers two types of commission structures: 1) A commission structure based on the user’s daily BNB holdings; 2) A commission structure based on the user’s referral performance (to be launched soon).

The final commission rate awarded to the user will be the higher rate derived from these two structures:

2. Where can I find my Referral Pro code/link?

• On the website: Log in to your Binance account, and click [Profile] - [Referral], or click [Referral] on the footer, and select [Referral Pro].
• On the Binance app: Tap [Referral] on the app homepage and go to [Referral Pro].

3. How many Referral Pro codes/links can be created?

Each user can create up to 50 Referral Pro codes or links.

4. Can my invitee use my Referral Pro code/link after creating their Binance account?

No, a referral code must be used when creating a Binance account. Please ensure that you and your invitees enter the correct referral code during the sign-up process. If they forget to use the referral code when signing up or enter the wrong referral code, the commission cannot be collected.

5. As a referee, can I change or remove my referrer?

No, once the referral relationship has been established, it cannot be changed or removed.

6. Can I delete my current Binance account and register for a new account with a new referral code?

No, if the system detects that an account has been deleted to create a new one for referral benefits, Binance reserves the right to terminate all referral commissions from the new account.

7. Can my sub-account receive commissions?

Sub-accounts cannot invite new users, but their trading commissions will be credited to the master account's referrer.

8. Why are my referrals not showing up? 

Please consider the following potential reasons:

• Invitees who registered through Referral mode will not appear in Referral Pro mode.
• Invitees who registered without a referral will not be displayed on this page. This page only shows users who registered through referral activities.
• For invitees who registered within the last 48 hours, please check the [48H Referrals] section.

• Records are displayed in reverse order of registration time, with a maximum of 50,000 records shown. Older records may not be visible but can be accessed using the search functions. You can search for data by using a Unique Identifier (UID).

Unfortunately, if the invitee's account is in breach of Binance’s Terms and Conditions, we are unable to apply the referral.

Commission Rate Adjustment Process

1. Under the commission structure of BNB holdings, when will my referral rate be updated?

Kindly note that we calculate daily BNB holdings, the calculation of daily BNB holdings, please refer to BNB Balance Calculation

Commission rate will be reviewed daily at 02:00 (UTC) based on your previous day’s daily BNB balance and will be updated at 10:00 (UTC) next day.

2. Under commission structure based on quarterly performance review, how and when does the evaluation conducted? 

• Start Date of Evaluation:
  • Evaluations for existing eligible users start at the beginning of the calendar month (i.e. 2025-08-01 to 2025-11-31).
  • New users who become eligible after the 15th of the month will begin their evaluation from the 1st day of the following month.
    • Example 1: User A registered Binance account and activated Futures account on 2025-07-07, invited first invitee who activates Futures account on  2025-07-09, the evaluation period for this user will be 2025-07-01 to 2025-10-31.
    • Example 2: User B registered Binance account and activated Futures account on 2025-08-01 then invited first invitee on the same day, but the invitee only activated Futures account on 2025-08-17, User B’s Futures evaluation period will be 2025-09-01 to 2025-11-30.
• Before any evaluation period begins, eligible users will receive their respective announcement email informing them of their evaluation period.
• Spot and futures evaluations are conducted separately and may start at different times if the user opens a futures account later.
• Upgrade:
  • Upon meeting the criteria mentioned above, the user's commission rate will be automatically upgraded the next day at 08:00 (UTC+0) to the corresponding tier, the upgrading will normally be applied the next day, latest within 48 hours.
  • The benefits will remain valid as long as the user continues to meet the criteria in subsequent evaluations.
• Downgrade:
  • Any users who started the evaluation period with a 30% or higher commission rate need to maintain the current tier criteria (or achieve the next tier’s criteria) in order to maintain the benefits.
    • Example: User A upgraded to 30% for the evaluation period between March - June 2025, he/she will need to maintain the criteria until the end of next evaluation period (July - October 2025) to avoid being downgraded.
  • Users who failed to maintain the current tier’s criteria will be downgraded to the respective tier where the user’s current trading volume and new traders amount are able to maintain. Downgrade will be applied within 48 hours after the end of evaluation period.

3. How do I become an eligible user?

• The Futures Referral Evaluation is available for all users with futures accounts activated.

You will be automatically enrolled into the evaluation if you have invited at least one (1) referral and the referral opened his/her Futures account. This will initiate Futures Referral Evaluation for you. 

• Take note that the following users are not eligible to participate the evaluation:
  • Sub-accounts
  • Binance brokers
  • Users whose current commission rate is 0%
  • Users who are residing in a restricted region for the referral, Spot, and Futures products
  • Users who violate the Binance Referral Terms and Conditions

Referral process and management

1. How do I create, set up, and manage my referral links?

Visit the Referral Pro page and click [Change referral settings] - [Add New Referral] to set the Spot and Futures rebate ratios by adjusting the progress bar.

• For Spot trading, the default rebate rate is 20%. You can choose to share 0%, 5%, or 10% with the friends you invite, and then click [Save].
• For Futures trading, the default rebate rate is 10%. You cannot adjust and share the commission with your invitees.

Note: Once you click [Save], you can no longer change the rebate ratio for the created Spot Referral Pro code/link.

2. How can I check the UID of the users I referred via Referral Pro?

Go to [Referral Pro] and tap [Referrals]. You can see the UIDs of your referred users under [My Referrals]. 

3. What is the default referral link/code, and how can I set it? 

Each user can create up to 50 Spot referral links/codes. Once you set a default referral link/code, you can easily copy it from the referral page. 

To set a default link, click the [Edit] icon on the referral page and select the referral code you want to set as the default. 

Commission and rebate details

1. What’s the difference between referral commissions and rebates?

The referral commission and rebate are both parts of the base referral bonus. When the invitee completes a transaction, the inviter receives the referral commission, while the invitee receives the rebate if the inviter chooses to share it with them.

2. Why haven’t I received the referral commission from my invitees?

Check the following possible reasons:

• Ensure your referred user has traded and paid the trading fee.
• Verify if your referred friend’s VIP level meets the requirements:
  • For Spot and Margin trading: The inviter is eligible to receive referral commissions from invitees who are regular users or VIP 1-2 users. The commissions will be discontinued once your referred friend reaches VIP 3 or higher.
  • For Futures trading: The inviter can only receive referral commissions from invitees who are regular or VIP 1 users, and only for 12 months from the day the invitee opens the Futures account.
    *The 12 months limitation will be removed if the inviter passed the 30% referral commission evaluation and above. This will take effect from 1 August 2025 onward. Click here to view our latest announcement.
• Rewards may fall under Referral mode. Please refer to the corresponding rebate page to view these rewards.
• If your invitee registered through a non-referral event, rewards will not be displayed in Referral or Referral Pro mode.

3. Why can I receive the commission from my referred friend’s Spot trading but not from Futures trading? 

To earn both Spot and Futures commissions when referring a friend, you must open a Futures account before your referred friend opens theirs. If you have done this, check their VIP level and Futures account opening date. 

4. When will I receive the Referral Pro commission, and what is the settlement token?

Starting from 2025-02-13, the default token for both commission rebates for referrers and  shared commissions for referees in the Referral Pro Mode (commission-based) will be USDC.

After the commission is generated, it will be calculated and converted to USDC on an hourly basis. The converted amount will be deposited into the user's Spot Account within 6 hours.

5. As a referee, why can't I receive a rebate from my own Futures trading?

From 1 August 2025 onward, invitees no longer receive 10% rebates from their futures trading. 

Please be informed that this applies to all existing or new Binance users, even if you are already receiving futures rebate and it is during the 1-month period from binding referral code, your payment will be immediately stopped. 

If the inviter takes any portion of the invitee's 10% rebate to themselves, their payment will also be stopped immediately. Inviter may also find the commission rate of futures referral programs decrease suddenly in the dashboard pro page. This is also due to the removal of the rebate. 

6. How do the new MiCA stablecoin rules affect the way European Economic Area (EEA) users receive commissions?

Futures commissions: 
From June 27th, 2024, EEA users will receive "Binance Credit" as Futures commissions. Once the commission is generated, it will be converted into "Credit" and deposited into the USDⓈ-M Futures Wallet. You can convert the received "Credit" into other digital assets via Coin Swap on the Futures page.

Important note: The conversion rate of "Binance Credit" into other digital assets is subject to the real-time rate provided by Coin Swap.
