According to Foresight News, Paradigm's Ethereum Reth execution client encountered an error yesterday, resulting in node stagnation. Paradigm's Chief Technology Officer, Konstantopoulos, shared a set of commands to restore the nodes, although the root cause of the vulnerability remains unidentified.
The issue was reported on Paradigm's GitHub page, occurring at block height 2327426 and affecting Ethereum mainnet versions 1.6.0 and 1.4.8. Despite Konstantopoulos providing recovery commands for operators, Paradigm continues to investigate the underlying cause of the vulnerability. Reth is an Ethereum execution layer client developed by Paradigm using the Rust programming language, focusing on high performance and modularity.
Data from Ethernodes indicates that the latest vulnerability appears to impact only a small portion of nodes running on Ethereum, as 5.4% of the total execution layer clients use Reth.
