According to BlockBeats, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and researcher Toni Wahrstätter have jointly authored proposal EIP-7983, which aims to set the Gas limit for individual Ethereum transactions at 16.77 million.
The proposal seeks to mitigate the risk of denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, improve the performance of zero-knowledge virtual machines (zkVM), and balance overall Gas usage efficiency.
