According to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has launched a 'crypto sprint' to implement the cryptocurrency-related recommendations released by the Trump administration on Wednesday. CFTC acting chair Caroline Pham stated that the CFTC will work closely with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chair Paul Atkins and commissioner Hester Peirce to advance the 'crypto project' initiative. The President's Digital Asset Market Working Group made 18 recommendations to the CFTC in a report, two of which directly involve the agency. The CFTC has been tasked with advancing guidance on cryptocurrencies as commodities, registration requirements, and the integration of decentralized finance, among others. The CFTC and SEC have been advised to collaborate on rulemaking and create a regulatory sandbox.
