According to ChainCatcher, Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley stated that Bitcoin's main competitors in the safe-haven asset space are U.S. Treasury bonds and other government bonds, rather than gold. Although gold has lower volatility and Bitcoin has higher volatility, both attract investors seeking alternatives to traditional currency assets.
Horsley pointed out that by 2025, 'regulatory uncertainty' will no longer be the main obstacle to Bitcoin investment; the current bottleneck lies in investors' time allocation and their perception of Bitcoin's value. He also mentioned that investor interest, such as that from family offices, in 'digital gold' type assets is limited, and such issues may become more prominent in the coming quarters.
