GoPlus Security warns: EIP-7702 smart accounts were attacked by phishing, with losses exceeding $10,000

According to Odaily Planet Daily, GoPlus Security issued a security alert that phishing attacks against EIP-7702 smart accounts appeared on the Ethereum mainnet, BNB Chain and Base chain. In just three days since its launch, thousands of addresses have been victimized, with losses of more than $10,000 in crypto assets. The attacker used an address for authorization phishing. Once the user authorized it, the address could automatically transfer the BNB or other tokens that the user subsequently transferred in. The GoPlus security team reminds users: Never transfer or authorize to unfamiliar addresses, and be vigilant to prevent large-scale phishing attacks that use historically leaked private key addresses.
