According to PANews, the U.S. Treasury Department announced that Treasury Secretary Basent held an executive meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council today. During the meeting, the Council received a briefing on the President's Working Group on Digital Asset Markets.
The Chair of the SEC and the Acting Chair of the CFTC also provided updates on recent actions taken by their respective agencies. Speakers discussed efforts to promote U.S. leadership in digital assets and financial technology and to provide greater regulatory clarity.
