Losses from cryptocurrency attacks in May 2025 amount to $244 million, with Cetus Protocol being stolen of $220 million.

According to reports from Wu, PeckShield monitoring shows that in May 2025, about 20 cryptocurrency attacks occurred, resulting in losses of $244 million, a 39% decrease from April. The biggest case was the theft of $220 million from Cetus Protocol.

Currently, Cetus Protocol has jointly frozen $157 million with SUI, with a recovery rate of 71%. The top five incidents also include Cork Protocol ($12 million), a suspected North Korean attack ($5.2 million), Token MBU ($2.2 million), and MaplestoryU ($1.2 million).
