According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on May 17, U.S. President Trump stated that India has proposed to eliminate all tariffs on U.S. goods, but he downplayed the urgency of reaching a trade deal with India.
Trump said in an interview that India is willing to cut 100% of tariffs for the United States, but he sent mixed signals about the likelihood of reaching an agreement, stating, 'It will happen soon, I'm not in a hurry.'
Trump added that he does not intend to reach agreements with all countries and indicated that the United States will unilaterally decide on tariffs faced by many countries. He plans to set new import tax rates in the next two to three weeks.
