According to reports from Jinshi Data, Barclays economists Jack Meaning and Iaroslav Shelepko indicated in their report that the UK's inflation data for April is expected to accelerate compared to the previous month. Part of the reason is the increase in the national living wage and employer national insurance contributions.

Economists expect the annual overall inflation rate in April to rise to 3.3%, while the annual core inflation rate may rise to 3.5%. However, due to multiple annual resets and indexed price changes, as well as some one-time price changes, there is a high level of uncertainty regarding the CPI in April.
