According to Odaily Planet Daily, BlackRock, the world's largest asset management company, met with staff from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Friday to discuss the regulation of crypto assets. The meeting involved issues related to the staking and options of crypto ETFs. Robert Michnik, head of digital assets at BlackRock, attended, and both sides discussed considerations for ETP products that support staking functionality, as well as parameters for calculating positions in cryptocurrency ETF options, including liquidity thresholds among other issues. Additionally, BlackRock also explored general standards for the approval of crypto ETFs with the SEC.
