According to Cointelegraph, the Texas House committee passed a Republican-backed bill aimed at creating a Bitcoin reserve. The bill has passed the Senate and now needs a full vote before being sent to the governor.

Senator Charles Schwertner first introduced the bill in January, initially limited to Bitcoin, and then reintroduced it in February to possibly include other digital assets. If it passes a full vote, the bill will be sent to Governor Greg Abbott.

On the same day, Arizona and New Hampshire also signed related bills, while Florida canceled two Bitcoin reserve bills.
