According to Deep Tide TechFlow, the AI programming tool Cursor has completed a new round of funding of 900 million dollars, led by Thrive Capital, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Accel. After this round of financing, Cursor's parent company Anysphere is valued at 9 billion dollars.
Earlier this year, Cursor secured 105 million dollars in funding, with a valuation of 2.5 billion dollars. Other AI programming startups have also attracted investor interest. In February, Windsurf was in discussions for a funding round with a valuation of 3 billion dollars. OpenAI attempted to acquire Windsurf at the same valuation last month.
