Many of you are asking or wondering why Bitcoin is going up while Altcoins are only going down.
Let me share some thoughts on why this is happening:
1- When Bitcoin leads, Altcoins are less likely to follow immediately. This is how money typically flows into crypto it goes into Bitcoin first, and then eventually into Altcoins. However, it’s always difficult to predict which Altcoin or category will perform well since there are now so many options.
2- Big players are more interested in buying Bitcoin.
3- As I mentioned, people now have countless options to trade. So, the one I’m holding or the one you’re holding might not go up at all. It’s always better to hold coins that are getting real volume and are in a clean uptrend.
4- Most importantly we knkw Hundreds of thousands of people got completely wiped out on Altcoins last week. It’ll take time for them to regain confidence in the Altcoin market.
Bitcoin moving first after a big drop is actually the best thing that can happen in crypto. If Bitcoin continues to show momentum while Altcoins do nothing, eventually BTC will start to consolidate and that’s when Alts will begin to pick up.
Right now, the daily charts for BTC, Ethereum, and other Altcoins are still bearish, which means we’re not out of the woods yet.
In my opinion, things will take time to move, and it would be ideal if Bitcoin shifts its structure first and Altcoins follow later.
Let me share some thoughts on why this is happening:
