Mexicoâs President Claudia Sheinbaum has firmly rejected Donald Trumpâs suggestion to allow U.S. military strikes against drug cartels inside Mexico, stating:
âThat will not happen.â
She emphasized that while Mexico is open to cooperation and intelligence sharing with the United States, any operations on Mexican soil will remain strictly under Mexican control.

In a separate incident, a U.S. defense contractor placed âRestricted Areaâ signs on a beach near the Rio Grande.
