Institutional Buyers Exploit Ethereum Dip, Dismissing Macro Uncertainty, Expert Says
Despite a subdued crypto market outlook driven by persistent macro uncertainty, institutional-scale investors have accumulated over $350 million worth of ETH, viewing the recent price pullback as a strategic entry point. The accumulation activity, including a single purchase of nearly 58,811 AaveETH valued at $206 million, points to a significant vote of confidence from large market participants.
Rachel Lin emphasized that the size and swiftness of these transactions confirm institutional involvement, suggesting these entities are willing to "tolerate near-term volatility" while waiting for future catalysts like the upcoming Fusaka upgrade or derivatives funding behavior. This accumulation effort, involving significant OTC activity, has coincided with Ethereum forming a local bottom, which has already seen the asset recover by about 10%. Prediction markets reflect this optimism, with users giving a 69% chance that Ethereum's next major price move will be toward $4,000 rather than $2,500.
