Something that would have sounded like science fiction a few years ago is now happening in Washington D.C. — the crypto world has its hero cast in gold.
In honor of Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ), a 14-foot (4.3-meter) golden statue has been unveiled, quickly becoming a symbol of the crypto revolution’s triumph and the growing alliance between business and politics.
Crypto Donors Fund a “Second Chance Statue”
A group of four anonymous crypto donors decided to pay tribute to the man who survived one of the biggest regulatory crackdowns in crypto history.
Within just a few days, they raised $50,000 to fund the creation and transport of the monument to the U.S. capital.
Project organizer Nick Zee confirmed that the statue was completed in four weeks using CNC-milled dense foam, then coated in gold paint and hand-polished. The statue portrays CZ making his iconic four-finger gesture, symbolizing his motto “Ignore FUD – Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt.”

From Punishment to Triumph
The statue’s unveiling comes just days after President Donald Trump granted a full presidential pardon to CZ, officially ending his legal battle with U.S. authorities.
Zhao was convicted in 2023 for violating anti-money-laundering laws and spent four months in a low-security California prison. After his release, he founded the educational nonprofit Giggle Academy, dedicated to promoting digital literacy worldwide — the organization will receive the statue’s auction proceeds.
The White House called Trump’s decision “the end of Biden’s war on crypto,” while Senator Elizabeth Warren denounced it as “an act of corruption.”
Despite the controversy, the pardon boosted market confidence — BNB surged over 18% in the past month, trading at around $1,137.
The CZSTATUE Meme Coin Is Born
The initiative also inspired the launch of a memecoin called CZSTATUE on the BNB Chain, which reached a market cap of over $577,000 within days. The project bridges art, politics, and blockchain in a way the crypto world has never seen before.
Zee described the initiative as “an artistic manifesto against media demonization,” adding that “the statue isn’t just about CZ — it’s about a community that defied the system.”
The Golden Wave Continues
Washington is fast becoming the new hub of crypto symbolism. Just a month ago, the city saw the unveiling of a gold statue of Donald Trump holding a Bitcoin, reinforcing the idea that crypto and politics are now intertwined forces of power and influence.
And while gold remains the traditional emblem of wealth, the gold statues of CZ and Trump mark a new era — one defined not by metal, but by digital faith, courage, and rebirth.
“This statue isn’t about a cult of personality. It’s about freedom, second chances, and a world where technology transcends politics,” concluded Nick Zee.
