U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that, starting from November 1, 2025, a 155% import tax (tariff) will be imposed on all goods coming from China.

In his statement regarding the tariffs on China, Donald Trump said, “I want to maintain good relations with China, but trade with China has been unfair for many years, causing losses to the United States.”
According to President Trump, the U.S. now needs to make tough decisions to protect its national interests.
Reason Behind the 100% Additional Tariffs on China Revealed
President Trump stated that China has treated the U.S. harshly in the past, and previous American administrations gave China too many advantages — something he will no longer allow. He added that his trade agreements with Europe, Japan, and South Korea were also based on tariff policies, which he considers an essential part of national security.
It is worth noting that the U.S. government has not only imposed import taxes but also announced restrictions on the export of key software to China, which will also take effect from November 1.
