📊 Bitcoin Dominance (BTC.D) – What’s Next?
A lot of people ask whether a pump in BTC dominance is bad for the market. Here’s my take:
🔎 The Comparison:
The only time in history that mirrors today is October 2020 — when:
1️⃣ The uptrend broke
2️⃣ BTC.D dropped significantly
3️⃣ A local bottom was found
From there, BTC.D pumped, but ETH and other alts trended higher gradually, while Bitcoin entered price discovery.
⚡ My Outlook:
1. BTC pumps toward ATH → BTC.D rises
2. BTC.D hits a bearish retest (~61%) → rejects
3. Market rises, but BTC leads first
4. BTC breaks new highs → wider bullish sentiment
5. BTC.D drops sharply (like in 2021)
6. BTC continues price discovery, but alts start outperforming
7. TOTAL2 + TOTAL3 move into price discovery
8. OTHERS break into price discovery
9. Then comes the true altseason 🚀
💡 Key Point:
We haven’t yet reached the macro cycle conditions for alts to outperform. History shows altcoins never outperform before ETH, TOTAL3, and OTHERS hit price discovery.
👉 So when people say “no altseason this cycle”… it’s just a guess. Liquidity decides, not opinions.
