AI app builder Dreamspace has launched with the goal of democratizing access to dapp deployment. Its release will make it easier for builders to create their own AI-powered applications using a tech stack that includes Space and Time (SxT) as well as Base network. Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI are also in the mix, enabling the creation of powerful AI applications.
Dreamspace Mainstreams AI Apps
The introduction of AI to blockchain applications has added greater functionality but it’s also added a further layer of complexity. It’s another skill that aspiring app developers must become familiar with if they’re to use the underlying technology to its full potential. The launch of Dreamspace effectively solves this problem, at least when it comes to the AI component.
Its code-free design allows devs to bolt on AI features at the push of a button, enabling them to rapidly deploy their application and start onboarding users. Beneath the hood, Dreamspace has Space and Time providing the database that fuels the app creation platform and its apps with the raw data they need. Space and Time is rapidly making a name for itself as the blockchain for ZK-proven data, enabling smart contracts to compute data procured from anywhere, be it onchain or off.
The scalability of apps built using Dreamspace, meanwhile, is taken care of by Microsoft Azure and Azure. The ties between SxT and Microsoft already run deep, since M12, Microsoft’s Venture Fund, led a $20M funding round for Space and Time in 2022. The presence of Azure in the background will ensure that should any of the apps launched using Dreamspace take off, they’ll be capable of going the distance without the risk of performance issues impairing user experience.
Built on Base for AI Creators
Dreamspace has plumped for Base as its chain of choice. The open stack blockchain, incubated by Coinbase, ticks all the right boxes. It’s got an existing, highly engaged community, fees are low, throughput high, and there’s deep integration with the broader EVM ecosystem. It also helps that there’s already a large number of developers building on Base. The launch of Dreamspace will enhance their capabilities, furnishing them with a plug-and-play solution for rapid dapp creation.
As Luca Curran, Head of AI at Base Ecosystem put it, “Dreamspace is an exciting example of what’s possible when you combine onchain with AI. You don’t need to be a developer or an engineer to bring an idea to reality – anyone can unlock their creativity to build an app. Expanding this possibility to anyone, anywhere will help us bring the world onchain.”
That’s the bull case for Base and for Dreamspace. It fills a gap in the market for an AI-creation service that doesn’t get app developers lost in pages of documentation and complex concepts that must be mastered for anything to be built. Its release should improve both the quantity and quality of AI applications on Base, which is good news for builders and users alike.
