Solana Overtakes Ethereum in RWA Growth—2025 Momentum Builds

Tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) are increasing in popularity, and Solana is now in the lead in terms of growth speed. Since January, it has increased by 218%, which is more than twice as fast than Ethereum's rate.

The overall RWA value of Solana may still be lower than that of Ethereum, but it is rapidly gaining ground. RWAxyz reports that the value of tokenized RWAs on Solana has increased by 218% this year, going from $173.8 million to $553.8 million. This is a significant growth. As a point of contrast, the RWA value of Ethereum increased by 81% year-to-date, going from $4.3 billion to $7.7 billion.

Since January, the entire on-chain value of the tokenized RWA sector has increased by 196%, going from $8.6 billion to $25.5 billion. This indicates that the industry is heating up across the board. Solana's quick growth demonstrates that there is serious competition, despite the fact that Ethereum continues to dominate with the highest market share.

This pattern is supported by the most recent data from Messari, which indicates that yield-bearing RWAs on Solana have performed very well, particularly those issued by Ondo Finance's OUSG and USDY. These two assets alone account for sixty percent of Solana's RWA market (excluding ONyc), and their combined worth is two hundred forty-eight million dollars. Stablecoins continue to make up the majority of RWAs across both networks; however, tokenized treasuries are beginning to distinguish themselves.
