There is a completely different perspective on Openledger after this announcement 🚨
Openledger just announced the Ambassador Program but today is clearly not April Fools' Day.
In my opinion, this is not like finding a partner to become an Ambassador but more like a JD to hire a full-stack employee at a sweatshop price.
First, there's $200 for the requirement of at least 2 threads per week and continuous posting on X. Let's assume that on average, one will write 5 posts per week.
That's 20 posts per month → Each post is worth ~$10, not including organizing community AMAs.
Next, still with the same $200, but you'll also work as a mod on Discord with many different jobs for 30 days. Assuming each day requires being active for 2-3 hours, that's 1 month = 60-80 hours.
That's not all. You still need to be active on Telegram to do other tasks. Let's say 1-2 hours a day here, that's 30-50 hours in a month.
150+ hours/month = ~$1.33/hour
For content, modding, event hosting, and 24/7 vibes?
Massive L for the mindset and treatment of the people and community that support Openledger here.
To any CMO who thinks of swapping this Ambassador concept with recruiting human resources to exploit labor: To me, that's a shame.
If you want skilled, passionate people to build your brand, PAY THEM FAIRLY.
Don't disguise a job as "community love" and call it "ambassadorship."
To any project that confuses "community" with "cheap labor": Your supporters deserve RESPECT, not exploitation.
Do better.
