🇹🇭9 Thailand’s Ministry of Finance has greenlit three consortiums to establish virtual banks, aiming to boost financial innovation, improve access in underserved markets, and enhance banking sector competition. Based on recommendations from the Bank of Thailand (BOT), the approved entities are:

ACM Holding Company Limited, led by Krung Thai Bank
A telecom-energy alliance formed by Advanced Info Service and PTT Oil and Retail Business

A tech-finance group including SCB X, WeTechnology, and KakaoBank (South Korea)These digital banks are expected to expand access to financial services while promoting inclusive growth in Thailand’s fintech landscape.
