France’s The Blockchain Group (ALTBG) has added 182 Bitcoin to its balance sheet, bringing its total BTC holdings to 1,653 coins, worth nearly €149 million ($170 million) at current prices.

The purchase, made through Swissquote Bank and Banque Delubac, was funded by over €18 million in convertible bonds and a share warrant conversion that raised another €1.6 million. The company says its average cost per BTC stands at €90,000, roughly $96,000.

Record BTC yield among public firms

The Blockchain Group says it has achieved a 1,173% BTC yield so far in 2025 — a metric comparing total Bitcoin held to fully diluted shares outstanding. The firm’s yield dramatically surpasses:

Metaplanet: 266.07%

Semler Scientific: 26.7%

Custody for the firm’s BTC is handled by Taurus, a Swiss digital asset platform.

Market reaction

Despite the bullish accumulation, ALTBG shares fell 2.1% to €4.895 on Euronext Paris, underperforming the broader CAC 40, which remained flat.
