🌐 “Why Spark caught my attention (and why I’m watching closely)”

Sharing my own thoughts here no sponsorship, no hype. I’ve been digging around DeFi recently, trying to find smarter yield options beyond Aave and Compound. That’s when I stumbled across Spark. Honestly? It surprised me.

🔹 What is @sparkdotfi ?

Built by the original MakerDAO (DAI) team, now called Sky. They're currently managing over $2.6B in TVL, but what really got me was the vision Spark isn't just another lending protocol. It’s built around a unified liquidity layer (SLL) that works across Ethereum L2s like Optimism and Unichain.

🔸 Why I liked it:

You earn stable yield via sUSDS/sUSDC, and rewards are transparently managed by on-chain governance.

Cross-chain deposits and withdrawals are smooth using CCTP to move USDC like it’s native.

Their frontend is hosted on IPFS, so it’s fully censorship-resistant (big plus over Aave/Compound).

Deep integrations with protocols like Pendle and Fluid not just buzzwords.

📉 Downsides? Yes, a few:

Still early stage it’s not as big or battle-tested as Aave.

Governance is still developing (SparkDAO is new).

A 15% revenue share goes to sparkfi.eth, which could be a hurdle for third-party builders.

💡 What I’m doing personally:

I deposited a small amount into sUSDS just to test it so far, steady returns.

Keeping a close eye on the ecosystem via their Discord & X.

Curious to see how far they push the Superchain vision.

👉 Just sharing my experience DYOR, but Spark might be worth putting on your radar. Something fresh is brewing in DeFi.
