Ether exists primarily as a transactional cryptocurrency, not as a staking token. Staking is a second order benefit, not the goal.

I know I'm an old man shouting at clouds, but staking is a security job and should be incentive-limited to ~33% of issuance to ensure that Ether is the currency of Ethereum forever.

Hey. If you're a solo @Ethereum staker, I'm PRETTY sure you'll want to upgrade to the 0x02 withdrawal credential if you haven't. It gives compounding and accrual on the validator. I'm only aware of good things.
