Bitcoin dominance making new cycle highs.
What many don't know however is that as long as Bitcoin's dollar value continues to go up, alts don't need to make new lows.
Bitcoin dominance rising means Bitcoin is still outperforming the overall market.
But if Bitcoin goes up 10% in dollar value and altcoins go up 9% in dollar value, bitcoin dominance is still rising.
All while the altcoin market is also doing well and thriving.
Q1 2024 was a really good example of that.
Is bitcoin dominance dropping still a preferable scenario? Yes it 100% is.
But if we had a crystal ball and Bitcoin theoretically would be hitting $150k by the end of this year? Bitcoin dominance would probably still go up while also pulling altcoin prices up with it.
And this is just globally speaking. There will be plenty of individual alts outperforming as well (think of strong narrative runners).
We just need Bitcoin's dollar value to remain strong if Bitcoin dominance isn't dropping.
