• Cardano plans to add XRP support to Lace Wallet and aims to expand its presence across multiple blockchain networks.

  • Lace Wallet will soon allow users to store, send, and receive XRP alongside Bitcoin and Cardano assets in one platform.

  • Cardano strengthens its cross-chain strategy by including XRP holders in the upcoming Midnight token airdrop.

Lace Wallet, developed by Cardano, will integrate XRP. This step confirms Cardano’s commitment to expanding multi-chain functionality. The update came from Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson during a recent YouTube session. He shared plans to support XRP in the Lace Wallet. This will allow users to store, send, and receive XRP directly within the platform.

Ripple and the Input Output Global (IOG) team from Cardano seem to be restoring positive working relations. Strained relationships from the past have softened between the two teams which now demonstrate increased partnership.

The proposed deal reveals a fundamental change from competitive behavior to collaborative efforts within the cryptocurrency domain. This cooperation includes Ripple’s support of Hoskinson’s participation at one of its events. This public alignment underlines a shared interest in expanding blockchain interoperability.

XRP Integration Part of Larger Strategy

Lace Wallet originally supported only Cardano assets. In 2023, the platform added support for Bitcoin. XRP is now the next major token on the roadmap.

Integrating XRP aligns with Cardano’s long-term strategy. The goal is to make Lace a full-featured, multi-chain wallet. This addition will allow XRP users to operate across different chains within a single interface.

Hoskinson confirmed the XRP integration is under development. While the timeline remains unclear, the project is actively progressing.

Midnight Token Airdrop for XRP Holders

The XRP integration also ties into Cardano’s Midnight (NIGHT) token airdrop. Midnight is a privacy-focused blockchain platform. It supports secure and transparent decentralized application development.

XRP holders will be eligible for the NIGHT airdrop. This effort aims to reach 37 million users across various blockchain ecosystems. The airdrop reflects Cardano’s broader inclusion strategy.

The decision to include XRP users enhances Cardano’s appeal beyond its core base. It also strengthens Cardano’s presence in other blockchain communities.

Lace Wallet Grows as a Multi-Chain Platform

Lace Wallet’s evolution has been steady. It started with Cardano support. It then added Bitcoin. Now, it prepares for XRP integration. This progress signals the wallet’s transformation into a multi-chain solution. It offers more tools for crypto users who manage assets on different blockchains.

With XRP added, Lace Wallet strengthens its role in the growing Web3 environment. It supports broader interoperability and user flexibility across platforms. This move also indicates that Cardano aims to foster more blockchain cooperation. The future of Lace looks geared toward unified, cross-network asset management.
